Wendy Coughlin – Regional Director Saint John

Ms. Coughlin is a lifelong resident of Saint John, NB. She has lived in every riding within the city throughout her life, making her aware of the issues which the people face. She is currently living in the Saint John Portland riding which contains the Crescent Valley area,which has the highest poverty rate in the city of Saint John.  The irony of this is the same riding contains some of the homes of the wealthiest professionals within the city.

Ms. Coughlin graduated UNBSJ 1991 in the  Bachelor of Arts program, with a double major of English and Sociology.   She has demonstrated an active interest and participation in politics throughout middle school, high school and university.  She served as President of OPTAMUS, the Organization of Part-Time and Mature Students at UNBSJ for two years, Treasurer for one, as well as serving as a Student Representative on UNBSJ Senate.

Ms. Coughlin has worked at various occupations throughout her life in a variety of fields which include sales, education and telecommunication.  After graduating in 1991 she was employed at UNBSJ by OPTAMUS as well as Student Services, Westfield Elementary School, and held telecommunication positions at various locations including NCO, Wyndham and Stream.

Ms. Coughlin is currently a volunteer for the North End Food Bank in the position of Assistant Coordinator.  She also is the current President of the People’s Alliance

of New Brunsick – L’Alliance des gens du Nouveau Brunswick’s Saint John Portland Riding Association.    Ms Coughlin also holds the position of Regional Director at Large for People’s Alliance of New Brunswick - L’Alliance des gens du Nouveau Brunswick.

Ms. Coughlin would like all members in the Saint John and surrounding areas to contact her at any time regarding questions they may have about the party.  She would also like to hear from any individuals interested in forming riding associations or who are interested in running as a candidate.
