This diverse riding covers a broad mainland area with St. George at its centre, but reaching nearly to St. Andrews to the West, Point Lepreau to the east and well into the country to the north. In addition, the riding includes the islands of Grand Manan and Deer Island.
This part of Charlotte County is characterized by its coastal location and is largely an economy based on the abundant resources found here. Fishing, Aquaculture, toruism, agriculture, and forestry are, currently, the foundation of our economy with mining being an historical business that continues to show promise for future development.
In terms of energy our riding is at the centre of several types of development, but particularly tidal power.
